Wedding Week

June 28, 2010

I’m going to have to sign off for the week – last minute wedding details (along with finishing up the move) will be taking most of my attention (we can throw working in there too I guess…).  Enjoy these little details while I’m off running around!

Still in wedding mode here – I found some lovely necklaces over at Luxe Deluxe!

This has been making the blog rounds, but is too pretty not to share.  I’ve mentioned Heath Ceramics before – and their new tile line of Dwell Patterns is fabulous!

Setting up my new room at my new place has been on my mind a lot lately.  I’m hoping to have an area set up to grow some small house plants since I have two nice windows that get good light.  One of my favorite things about house plants is finding items to plant them in.  It’s always fun to turn something that wasn’t intended for plants into a pot!

These selections are from Terrain.

Free Fall

June 22, 2010

This video is simply amazing and beautiful.  I love how graceful you can be in the water.

Moving

June 21, 2010

Truck’s coming today and I’m moving my big furniture to my new place.  I thought these moving announcements created by Brian Kroeker were creative – you get your own little truck!

I’m headed to Marsh Creek tomorrow to spend the afternoon enjoying the sunshine – it got me thinking about needing a picnic basket.  When searching for one similar to the one we had growing up [what I found above] I found all of these other great options!

[Top] Vintage Classic Split Oak Picnic Basket – $35 [mossweed]

vintage picnic basket – $25 [littlebyrdvintage]
Vintage Wicker Case – $29 [Hindsvik]
Vintage Tin Picnic Basket – $35 [CampHobachee]
Vintage Picnic Basket – $38 [nickandnessies]

Adam Rogers

June 17, 2010

These walnut pieces from Adam Rogers are amazing.  I love them – the combination of clean lines, classic modern style, and the legs!  Yes, please.

I grew up with a piano in my house so I feel like I have been playing the instrument my entire life.  I think I started official lessons in 6th grade but received my first piano lesson books in kindergarten for Christmas.  Playing the piano is one of the things I definitely miss from home.  I was up in Rochester this weekend and was able to play my grandparents piano for a little bit – it was great to play again [though I'm a bit rusty!].  My only requirements for my personal piano someday are, I would prefer an upright & I would prefer a used one [so it's already broken in a bit!].  Someday.

Blue Grey Walls

June 14, 2010

I’m painting my room today!  I’ve been loving images of blue/grey wall colors, so I’m trying to go that direction – I have to keep it lighter than I would like (the joys of renting) but I’m hoping it’ll still have the effect I’m looking for.

Wedding Bells

June 10, 2010

Weddings on my mind today!  This weekend my cousin is getting married [yay!] and in a few weeks my roommate is getting married [yay!] so I’ve been browsing wedding blogs for awhile now – I tried to limit the amount of wedding stuff that ended up on here – but [warning] there may be a few things I just can’t help sharing!  The touches from this wedding I found on Green Wedding Shoes are wonderful – green and growing, a perfect combo.

ICFF: Roundup

June 9, 2010

I’m nearing the end of pouring through all the ICFF literature I picked up [it feels like it's taken forever!] and so now it’s time to post up a ’roundup’ of everything that still needs to be mentioned – starting with Amy Butler’s wallpaper line for Graham & Brown.  I actually got to meet Amy [on the left] and she walked me through her line!

I love BluDot already [see here] and continue to love their products.  Their newest desk and office chair were the highlight of their new stuff for me!

Huge fan of Anne Kyyro Quinn’s felt wall panels!

Really nice high-end camping gear from Snow Peak.

These hole punched metal lights from Snob definitely caught my eye!

And there we go – the official end of the ICFF posts!
