Roadtrip!

Things have been pretty quite on here as of late, what with the festivities of Christmas and all :) – it’s been great spending time with family!  I’m planning on keeping things pretty low key until the 10th or so since I’m going on a ROADTRIP!  I’m planning on driving the ‘southern route’ out to Phoenix, AZ with my best friend – we’re planning on spending New Years Eve on the road, see the Narnia movie somewhere, and hopefully make lots of memories and see some amazing roadside sites along the way.

Food Styling

For Christmas I received a subscription to Real Simple magazine {thanks Mom & Dad!} and the minute I saw these food styling images from this January’s issue I had to share them!  They’re shot by Con Poulos for the ‘Comfort in a Bowl‘ series.  I love the mix of all the patterns of the backgrounds and different dishes – oh, and the food looks yum too!

Etsy Find Friday: Taste Testing

Etsy has created a fun new way to browse and search for items – you take a short visual quiz about which items appeal to you out of a group, and then based on your taste, they provide you with similar selections.  These are a few they suggested for me – click here to find your own.

I want Wednesday: Modern Terrariums

I want Wednesday… more like I need!  Terrariums have been on my must-have radar for awhile – and these are the ones I wish I could drop all my cash on to have.  Jeffery, from James Modern Terrariums, works with glass blowers to create the custom terrarium vessels and then creates a miniature landscape, carefully planting each item and arranging everything just so.  What amazing creations!  Anyone want to donate a grand so I can have one?!
