Want : Liberty Trays
March 30, 2011
I recently bought a few little trays from IKEA to help organize the top of my dresser, but I have my eyes on these trays from Liberty for my next re-organization!

Snapshots {Party Details} : Part 1
March 29, 2011
Along with making the invitations for my parent’s surprise party, I made a few other paper products for the day of the event. My sister rounded up 50 different facts about my parents which we display on little ‘Guess Who’ sheets. Items ranged from ‘guess who threw their cat in the dryer’ to ‘guess who worked at McDonald’s and many more. Many of our amazing guests brought personal cards for my parents, but we also provided a little ‘memory/well wishes’ station if guests wanted to jot down a favorite memory or a little note. What kind of party would it be without some great finger food and dessert platters. I recycled some leftover invitations to create fun decorations for the food as well.
My grandma brought the flowers in the top picture – so cute! and my sister baked the amazing chocolatey goodies above!
Color Inspiration : Globemallow
March 28, 2011
Last Monday I returned from another cross country trip to Arizona. We ‘hurried’ across the country in 4 days so I was able to spend 3 full days taking in the sights and adventures of Phoenix. I thought a fun way to share some images from the trip and my time in Phoenix would be to share some color inspiration shots. This one is from the Desert Botanical Garden, and while I didn’t note any of the flower names – doing some googling I think this flower is called a globemallow.
Etsy {Friday} : iPad & iPhone Cases
March 25, 2011
This week I started a new project at work designing a new iPhone/iPad app which I’m super pumped about! Since that’s where my mind is – I thought these recycled felt cases from C comme Ca would be a great selection for today.
What to Wear {Green}
March 24, 2011
Today I am focusing on my favorite color – green! How could I let St. Patty’s day go by {for me = celebration of all things green} and not slip in a few overly green posts. I decided to also steer towards more muted green rather than the overly bright kelly green we associate with the Irish holiday since they seem to be a bit more everyday wearable.

Snapshots {Party Invitations}
March 23, 2011
I’m so excited about this post, I’ve been holding in the surprise for a few months now – my sisters and I threw my parents a surprise 50th birthday party a few weekends ago! Their birthdays are 12 days apart and for this special year we decided to do something a bit out of the ordinary. I was able to design custom postcard invitations, work on party decorations, and make yummy food. I have been waiting to share the details with everyone – starting with the invitations today.
We decided on postcards since they require cheaper postage to send, my design lead us to the blue color scheme for the party, and then I spent two days hand addressing 75 invitations – They seemed to work since we had over 60 people show up for our Saturday afternoon surprise!
Summertime Swim
March 22, 2011
Looking ahead towards summer may seem a bit premature since it is just starting to feel like spring, but today I am back to work after a trip to Phoenix where spring there feels like summer here! I have always had an appreciation for painters and fine artists and their ability to capture life in mediums I could only dream of mastering. These paintings by Samantha French are no exception. Seeing them, I could just feel myself swimming in a pool – I love the underwater perspectives!
Busy Busy!
March 14, 2011
I feel my life either has nothing going on or is straight activities for a month… {and} you guessed it – this is the activities for a month season! Besides a wedding in Ohio, having my best friend in town and helping her move out of her house, planning and throwing my parents a surprise 50th birthday party, and {oh yeah} working… I am headed out on another road trip across the country to Phoenix, AZ! I should be back around the 23rdish – till then… if you happen to be traveling, consider taking a bag from Need Supply with you.
This Month {March}
March 1, 2011
I’m pretty optomistic about this new month – bring on spring! There are so many things happening it seems.
For March:
Let’s start out with a shout-out for all the birthdays happening this month. There are several people in my life that were born in March – to celebrate pick up a Paul Ferney cake painting [3].
I wouldn’t want anyone to forget daylight savings time – don’t forget to set your alarm clock [4] and ‘spring’ ahead!
I am so excited for the middle of the month where I will be taking another roadtrip out to Phoenix. This ‘Let’s Get Lost‘ print [5] describes the adventures I hope to have {well… let’s try not to get too lost }
Our roadtrip ends on the Day ‘o the Irish – St. Patrick’s Day! Throw on some green with this vintage scarf [2] or just put this Clover Field print [6] up on your wall.
And last but not least – spring is coming! Spruce up your wardrobe with a spring flower pin [1] from EmersonMade.
