Well, it has been awhile – but for good reason!
I was busy applying for a job, getting interviewed for a job, getting the job {!}, then heading out for a pre-planned 4 day girls weekend in San Diego, starting my job, and adjusting to my new routine – whew!
I figured I would show you a few pictures from San Diego to get things back on track.

For some reason I had it in my head that my blog birthday was October 14th. Well, I looked last night, and my first post was on October 1st. Not that I had anything special planned besides mentioning it, but we can celebrate extra since Moss Points North is 2 years and 14 days old now! What better way to celebrate than rounding up some of the best party decor and supplies for our etsy day? These fun prints and colors from Affinita Moderne are great! Besides the pillowcases and hand-knit blankets they have a lot of products for babies – I wish I needed some sheets for a crib {wait, scratch that!}.

I’ve been going through all my favorite items and shops on Etsy this week and I have really enjoyed rediscovering all the vintage shops. I love that they are constantly changing with new inventory in contrast to handmade sellers re-listing their normal merchandise. The shop Pine and Main has many lovely finds and if I haven’t said it yet, product photography is key! I feel like I’m looking through a mini museum – I just love that these everyday items and their normal wear and tear were captured in such a beautiful way.

What this month looks like:
1. Did you know that October is this blog’s birthday? 2 years in fact! Maybe I should throw a party like this one at the Sweetest Occasion, perhaps?
2. In a few weeks I’m going to be driving into California for the first time and having a girls weekend in San Diego – can’t wait!
3. It is turning fall and this year it seems like that calls for flannel, like this option from Burton.
4. Maybe I will make some yummy caramel apples, or 5. do a fall leaf craft project?
6. Hopefully I will find a pumpkin patch as cute as this one from Sara Lee Parker and carve a pumpkin this month too.
