ICFF: Roundup

June 9, 2010

I’m nearing the end of pouring through all the ICFF literature I picked up [it feels like it's taken forever!] and so now it’s time to post up a ’roundup’ of everything that still needs to be mentioned – starting with Amy Butler’s wallpaper line for Graham & Brown.  I actually got to meet Amy [on the left] and she walked me through her line!

I love BluDot already [see here] and continue to love their products.  Their newest desk and office chair were the highlight of their new stuff for me!

Huge fan of Anne Kyyro Quinn’s felt wall panels!

Really nice high-end camping gear from Snow Peak.

These hole punched metal lights from Snob definitely caught my eye!

And there we go – the official end of the ICFF posts!

ICFF: Council

June 8, 2010

Sweet collaboration chair between Council and Karim Rashid – called Careem.  The base and seat come apart to stack easily.  My good friend Aodh [below with 2 other good friends!] worked with Council for a few months creating the mold for the seat – didn’t he do a good job!!

The other Council product that really caught my attention was their ‘swarm’ room divider!

ICFF: MIO

June 7, 2010

Such fun new stuff from MIO this year!  I’m loving these pop-up baskets for your bike or just around the house.  Utilizing their signature manufacturing process of flat packed powder-coated steel – you’re able to ‘pop’ them up to whatever height works for your space.  I also always love MIO for their work with felt!  This year, they introduced protective felt cases for laptops and other electronics.  Bold colors choices as well – so good!

ICFF: dform

June 4, 2010

dform had such an engaging booth!  Filled with their screens and lighting products – this booth was filled with warm light and texture.  Their focus is on manipulating flat wood veneer into these intriguing and sculptural forms.  Check out a few different ‘patterns’ below!

It looks like their newest material is bent aluminum – this creates a really dramatic 3D screen!

I was really drawn to these pieces from Kenneth Cobonpue’s Hagia collection – maybe it’s the white with sea green table top combo?  Not sure, but this would make an amazing outdoor patio furniture set!

ICFF: Sandback

June 2, 2010

Sandback did some great stuff with their ‘end grain’ collection – my favorite are definitely the drum tables!  [above]

They also seem like such a cute family owned business!

ICFF: Christian Woo

June 1, 2010

Wonderfully crafted wood pieces from Vancouver based Christian Woo.
Loving the pop of color!

ICFF: UM Project

May 28, 2010

Some great stuff from UM Project at ICFF this year.  I had never heard of these guys before – but I quickly fell in love with their simple yet considered designs with fun pops of color and great texture.

Above – Milking Stools, with great colors accents.
Below – Ray Chair, covered in wonderful felt!  [and I love the button detail]
Very Bottom – U.M.O. coffee table/seat, with a solid cork body.  Pretty amazing.

ICFF: Lovi

May 28, 2010

These cute birds caught my eye from Lovi at the designboom mart during the ICFF.  The different pieces come as one flat sheet and they are popped out and assembled to create the 3D bird, pig, sphere etc.  I really wish I had been able to purchase one!

ICFF: Iannone

May 24, 2010

I love the new offerings of the Philly based company Iannone whose focus is on eco-friendly modern furniture.  These splash tables [above] pair beautiful wooden tops with a ‘splash’ of color in the legs – the minty green legs are my choice!  Adding to their signature graphic console collection every year – see some of their new selections below.

ICFF: Global Lighting

May 24, 2010

This screen definitely got my attention at the ICFF.  After snapping a picture – I entered the booth to find out more information and found some more amazing products from Global Lighting.

{Paisley Screen above}

Like this amazing wood veneer suspension light ‘Agatha

and this fun ‘Cactus‘ table lamp.

Stepping away from the wood veneer – their ‘Z-alhambra‘ light with a polypropylene shade is quite lovely!

ICFF: Matt Pugh

May 21, 2010

I’ll wrap up the day with the cutest little wooden owls from Matt Pugh!  Off to enjoy the rest of this beautiful day and play some ultimate frisbee in the park.
