Lovely Monday: Elle Moss

Keeping this Monday lovely  is the Dreamy Nature photography of Elle Moss.
Quite stunning.

Aren’t ranunculus your favorite? They are quite the modern trend these days – I guess I have to admit to being on board with this one!

Oh Monday. It’s not your fault you represent the beginning of the work week. If the images aren’t enough motivation to start the week with, maybe this video I stumbled upon a few weeks ago will get you going!

Made in Iceland

January 17, 2012

Iceland is on the top of my list for places I want to travel to. It just seems so picturesque everywhere you look! This film, Made in Iceland, is about Klara Harden hiking across Iceland this past summer and is G O R G E O U S. I want to just go hike across Iceland. Right now.

Splitscreen: A Love Story

A really sweet little love story. How neat is the filming!

Mesmerizing

May 10, 2011

Love this calming and mesmerizing drawing machine video, it’s like a huge random spirograph!  It offers a nice break to everything else I have going on – this past weekend I was up to Rochester for my sister’s college graduation {congrats Laura!} and then this Sunday I head off on a week long cruise - I’m so looking forward to the time of relaxation!

Monday Videos : Float

February 28, 2011

A beautiful trailor for a documentary about these amazing flying contraptions – I don’t even know what to call them, they’re so delicate and beautiful - I need the Float Documentary to come out so I can know more!

I can’t get over the skating moves Kilian Martin has – can you wishlist sweet skills?

{via Something’s Hiding in Here}

I have seen so many great videos floating around recently I thought I would post several of them up today.  These first ones I’m so glad Roger reminded me I had been meaning to post since I saw them over on design work life.  They are created for Education First Language Schools and are an amazing combination of typography and videography – love!

Great video found over on bookhou at home about the process of making these Wolverine shoes.

Going back to my love of anything wrapped in pretty patterns… I need to try some of this chocolate!  Watch the video to see the amazing story behind these delicious treats from Mast Brothers Chocolate.

Daily Drop Cap

October 28, 2010

I don’t think I originally posted about this project when it first started since it was on every single blog it seemed – but I was reminded about Jessica Hische’s Daily Drop Cap project and spent some of last night browsing through the beautiful drop caps she’s designed – she tries to design one per work day.  What’s a drop cap you ask?

It’s a fancy letter that is placed at the beginning of a paragraph, usually seen at the beginning of chapters in novels.  The capital letter ‘drops’ down 2 or 3 lines below the initial sentence of the paragraph.  And now the rest is just filler text to make a ‘full paragraph’ so you can see the drop cap cutting into the text.
