You may have caught this news in my March iPhone background download post — but if you weren’t sure, my sister is getting married, this coming Saturday {eep!}. So crazy!
So, I will be taking a break this week and heading back east for fun, family and festivities! I thought leaving you with a round-up of ‘what makes for a good wedding’ would be appropriate.
1 — A knock-out invitation is a good idea, like this lovely option seen on minted
2 — A gorgeous dress is a must, especially when lace is involved
3 — Flowers that pop set the mood
4 — and leaving your guests with a tasty treat like Mast Brothers Chocolate on their plate never hurts! {these guys did it!}

If I was getting married tomorrow I would want these invitations! Such a simple yet well designed layout – and the thing that always seals the deal for me, vintage-y patterned fabric! These were created by John Argyle for his own wedding.

What better day to have an excuse to post something wedding related! {Happy Valentine’s Day!} These images from Bethany and Jule’s big day are beautiful. A few details I’m enjoying are their wedding backdrop made from receipt paper of all things {tucking away a mental note}, their cute little cake, and Bethany’s dress – wonderful.

I can’t believe I haven’t shared these yet – I fell in love with this idea the minute I saw them! Bleudetoi provides people with these beautiful custom hand drawn trees that they can use as their guestbook at their weddings. Not only do the guests leave their signature, but they leave their thumbprint as a leaf on the tree. I think it’s such an elegant alternative to a traditional guestbook. Other people must think so as well since there seems to be a waiting list for them!
